Date and Banana Smoothie

Easy. Fun. Food.

This smoothie is so delicious. It’s become my new favorite. The dates make it naturally sweet so no honey, maple syrup, or sugar is needed. Enjoy the taste, but mostly enjoy the nourishing benefits of the date & banana smoothie.

Where to purchase dates?

You can find dates at most grocery stores in the produce section or in the baked good section where dried cranberries and raisins are sold. Purchase dates that are unsweetened. The pre chopped dates often come with added sugar. FYI: dates are sweet enough. Your taste buds might like all the sugar, but your body doesn’t.

Where to buy astragalus powder?

You can purchase astragalus powder from Mountain Rose Herbs, an herb supplier that practices sustainability. This is a trust company that I use all the time. You can use astragalus in any smoothie, soup, stews, sauces, or gravy. Really, the possibility of using astragalus is endless. It is very mild in flavor.
